These companies process data for us when you visit pipebase.dev or docs.pipebase.dev, or write to hello@pipebase.dev or abuse@pipebase.dev. The privacy page says what that data is.
Hetzner Online GmbH
Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen, Germany, hosts the server that runs pipebase.dev and docs.pipebase.dev. The server is in Nuremberg, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hetzner.
Cloudflare, Inc.
Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, United States, runs the DNS for pipebase.dev and the e-mail routing that forwards mail sent to hello@pipebase.dev and abuse@pipebase.dev to our mailbox.
Cloudflare is an active participant in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has decided that it ensures an adequate level of protection (Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795). Cloudflare's data processing addendum, which its self-serve terms incorporate, adds the EU standard contractual clauses for any transfer the framework does not cover.
Our mailbox provider
Cloudflare forwards the mail to a mailbox we read at an e-mail provider, which stores it for us. It is a Swiss company and stores the mail on servers in Switzerland, Germany or Norway; Switzerland is outside the EEA, so the transfer to the provider rests on the European Commission's decision that Switzerland ensures an adequate level of protection (Decision 2000/518/EC), which the Commission confirmed in its review of 15 January 2024.
